On November 6th 2013 in conjunction with Society for Social Change and Social Rights we held BHIWC’s first free cervical cancer screening for 100 women. It was a success with over 150 women in attendance and we worked alongside government health care workers administering vaccines to the children of the community.
During this screening other health care issues were addressed. Prescriptions and further referrals were administered on site. We identified and sponsored those that needed further cervical cancer testing and an individual that needed gynecology surgery.
